Customer Reviews

I really had high hopes for this... - C. Ward -
This was the first time I actually purchased an item off of an infomercial. I came to amazon, read some reviews, did my homework like I always do. There were mixed reviews as with any product, but I decided to test it out.

I decided to order from the 800 # as I've never done that before, and figured I would see what all they say/offer. From the start to the end it was about a 20-25 minute call. Out of those 20/25 minutes only 5 were taking my information, cc, etc. The rest was nothing but trying to upsell me. They tried to upsell the rapid charger (80.00 iirc), a "trimmings and grass blower", magazine subscriptions, etc. When I would say no, they would drop the price, and go again. I was nice about it, because I know the person on the end is only doing their job, and if they don't they will get fired. So anyway I just kept saying no thanks. They said if I paid the amount in full they would process my order faster, and I would receive expedited shipping, which meant I would receive the product in 7-10 days. The shipping was pretty fast, I received it in about 8 days.

When I opened the box, assembling what little needed to be done, was very easy. I plugged in the charger and put the battery on there. After 6 hours of charging it was ready. I went outside, did a little trimming and edging. After 15 minutes the battery was dead. I thought it must be a fluke since they said you can "trim an entire football field three times" on the infomercial. I charged the battery over night, and started again. Wow it lasted 20 minutes this time. I now see why they want to sell you extra batteries, and the rapid charger.

Other than the fact that this will only run for about 20 minutes, it seems a bit under-powered. What would take a corded/gas trimmer a swipe to cut, this took maybe 5-10 swipes. It's a good concept, and if the battery had lasted longer it would have received 3 or 4 stars, but that just isn't the case.

Overall I suggest buying another trimmer that won't force you to buy 4 batteries, or an 80.00 charger just to trim your grass.

Terrible power! Does NOT self feed line - David M. Blankenship - Alabama
I ordered this product and was very excited due to all the commericials that are ALL OVER the t.v. now. With a fully charged battery, I tried to trim my drive way and it was SO WEAK that I had to go very slow and try to trim a small portion of grass at a time. Also, every 2 minutes I had to stop and pull out the cord of the so called "self feeding line" that supposedly automatically adjusts to the proper length without manual adjustment...WRONG! It was such a dissappointment! Great idea but they didn't have the product to back up what they were advertising. I lost to ship it back, so bascially I paid dollars for a piece of crap and wasted time. DON'T BUY WORX GT!!!!!!!!

Think twice and hard - Donna M. Jones -
After using my edger and blower for 1/2 season and purchasing an extra battery for backup I am completely dissapointed with the lack of power in either unit. I had to replace the battery charger this spring and now neither battery will hold a charge. The unit is good for very small areas but the lack of battery life makes it useless.

Don't bother... - Annette L. Couch-jareb - Charlottesville, VA
I just came in from using my WORX Trimmer, thinking, it can't be as lame as I remember it from last season. Well, it seems my memory is accurate. It starts with a little whir, (little being the operative descriptor here.) It teases its way through the tiniest, thinnest blades of grass, (but don't try to cut more than five blades at a time.) Then about three minutes into your cutting, you'll notice that it's already losing power. I managed to trim 8- four foot beds. It took me about fifteen minutes, (should have taken less than 5) and I had to practically use telekinesis to mow down the last couple and it's so weak after 15 minutes of very SLOW progress, to make it useless.

I can not advise anyone, no matter how environmentally conscious you are, to purchase this trimmer. Just break out a sturdy pair of scissors. It'll go faster.
